Exciting news from Petals of Balham – the longstanding family-run flower business has launched a beautiful new website!
Keeping Balham in gorgeous fresh flowers, plants, wreaths and Christmas trees from their spot on Hildreth Street since 1968, award-winning Petals is a true community institution – now in its 57th year and passed down through generations of the same family!
Their stunning new website showcases the full breadth of their work – from the everyday flower stall we all know and love, to their bespoke floral design for weddings, events, parties and funerals across South London.
Petals also partners with lots of fantastic local businesses – including The County Arms, The Regent Balham and Ladoc Balham – hosting events like wreath-making workshops and creating beautiful floral displays for special occasions.
Whether you’re popping by for a weekly bunch, planning a wedding, or looking for the perfect arrangement for a special moment, Emma, Joe, Alan and the team would love to help.
And you can also now view their full collection via their new website at petalsofbalham.com
You’ll find Petals of Balham located on Hildreth Street, by Balham High Road.
We’re sad to report that the longstanding Balham bar Lost And Found Bar has permanently closed. The bar first opened its doors at 10 Bedford Hill in 2013.
They say on their Instagram page:
“Balham, this is the hardest post we have ever had to write. After 13 incredible, unforgettable years of shaking drinks in the heart of our community, we will be closing our doors for the final time this Sunday, the 23rd.
“We are feeling incredibly emotional, but mostly, we are filled with immense gratitude. To our amazing regulars, our neighbours, and the entire local community: thank you. You didn’t just support a small independent business; you gave this place its soul.
“Looking back, we’ve shared an entire lifetime of moments with you. We’ve hosted your weddings, celebrated countless milestone birthdays, and cringed (with love!) through some truly horrible karaoke sessions. Through every high and low, you made us who we are. We are walking away with a lifetime of beautiful memories.
“We love you, Balham. Thank you for the last 13 years. ❤️”
We wish the Lost & Found team the very best of luck for the future.
We're sad to report that another Balham business, Rajah Rowing Team Indian restaurant, at 238 Balham High Road has closed down.
We'll keep you posted on what goes in there next!

The new-look store will be complete by Friday 11th September – we’ll keep you posted!
